Public meetings and workshops

The community is invited to provide feedback on the Moraga Canyon Specific Plan. We want to hear your input so the final plan reflects the needs and wishes of our residents.

These meetings and workshops are open to everyone. You can attend and share your opinions during the public comment portion of the meetings. Workshops include activities where you can share your ideas.

Planning Commission study session (August 12, 2024)

At this meeting, the Planning Commission discussed draft architectural design standards for future development in the Moraga Canyon area, which will be included in the Moraga Canyon Specific Plan.

City Council meeting (March 18, 2024)

At this meeting, the City Council directed staff to prepare a Draft Specific Plan that incorporates development scenarios 1 and 3 as options. This would allow for housing to be developed on either side of Moraga, but require that all housing (both affordable and market rate) is on the same side of the road.

About the Moraga Canyon Specific Plan

The Moraga Canyon Specific Plan is studying all City-owned land in Moraga Canyon, including Blair Park, Coaches Field, Kennelly Skate Park, and the City’s Corporation yard, with the goal of created a detailed plan for how to:
